Add payment promises to multiple entries

Often, clients ask to pay in instalments.
Clearnox enables you to create and monitor these payment promises, based on the deadlines specified by the client.

How to record a client’s payment promises for multiple entries?

Following your discussions with the client, they have promised to pay certain invoices in several instalments. Record these payment promises in your Clearnox tool to make it easier to monitor the file.

    1. From the client’s account balance, tick the entries in question for this payment promise and click on the "Promises" button. If the client has promised to pay the entire account balance, select all entries.

    2. A window appears with details of the selection: invoice numbers and remaining amount due.

Select the number of deadlines specified by the client and the first due date. The promised amount equals the remaining amount due, but you can edit it if this doesn't match the amount promised by the client.

Click the "Generate deadlines" button.

Adding payment promises affects both debit and credit entries. 
If you select an entry that already has a payment promise linked to it, this will not be taken into account when adding promises.  

    3. The window shows the deadlines generated using the information entered in the previous step.

You can change the date and amount of each deadline.

Click the "Generate promises" button.

  4. One or more promises are automatically associated with each entry, taking into account the deadlines selected in the previous step.

You can adjust the date and amount of each payment promise.

Save your payment promises using the "Save" button.

The payment promises are created and linked to the relevant entries in the client’s account balance.
