You have access to two or more Clearnox accounts, and you have customers shared across different companies.
From the customer record, you can view a consolidated view of the customer present in multiple companies, including their outstanding balances across all these companies.
The customer identifier that links the different accounts is the extId.
In this section, you can view for each company where the customer is present:
The company name,
The overdue balance for the customer,
The upcoming due balance for the customer,
The total outstanding balance for the customer if it is greater than 0 (debit balance),
The customer balance, representing the difference between debit and credit. If the balance is a credit balance, this amount will be negative.
The multi-company customer balance can also be displayed in graphical form. To do this, click on the icons at the top right of the Multi-Company Balance section:
1. Multi-Company Balance in a bar chart
2. Multi-Company Balance in a pie chart
The consolidated amounts are also displayed in the Balance section of the customer record and are highlighted.
Which customer ID is used for multi-company consolidation?
The customer ID that links the different companies is the extId, which is the unique identifier for the customer in Clearnox.
However, you can choose to perform multi-company consolidation based on the Company number by following the steps below for each relevant account:
1. As an account administrator, go to the Configure > Advanced Options page,
2. Look for the option "Multi-company outstanding amounts" and select "Company identifier" from the dropdown list.
3. The change will be automatically applied.
From now on, the calculation of the consolidated outstanding amount across companies will be based on the Company number.
